Tyromyces albellus (Peck.) Boud. & Sing. syn. Polyporus albellus Peck. Leder-Saftporling. Bracket 3–10cm across, 2–8cm wide, 1–3.5cm thick, fan-shaped to subcircular, succulent; upper surface suede-like and white at first later yellowing. Flesh white, soft and watery at first drying hard and chalky. Tubes 3–7mm long, white yellowing with age. Pores 3–4 per mm, circular to elongate, whitish. Spores hyaline, subcylindric, to sausage-shaped, 4–6 x 1.5–2um. Hyphal structure dimitic with clamp-bearing generative hyphae and coralloid binding hyphae. Habitat on dead conifers or frondose trees. Season late summer to early winter. Uncommon. Not edible. Distribution, America and Europe.
